It is with great pleasure that we announce that the restaurant Elda has been opened at Keflavík Airport, which will increase the number of options for the ever growing number of passengers passing through the airport.

At Elda, the emphasis is on quality and the best ingredients. The food is fresh and there will be a variety of choices for everyone; truffle burger, traditional Icelandic lamb soup, char salad and fish and chips, for example. In the morning, lighter options will be available; Eggs Benedict, pancakes with syrup and avocado Toast. There is also an Ísey skyrbar inside the restaurant, which is always open with fresh bowls. And for those who are in a hurry, there will always be a good selection of prepared dishes for take-away.

The design of Elda is exceptionally beautiful, with a reference to Icelandic heritage and nature – with passenger comfort as the highest priority.

"We are really proud of the food at Elda, which is made from quality ingredients. These are a lot of classic dishes but with Icelandic ingredients. Of course, we put a lot of effort into accommodating diverse groups, with excellent fast service for those in a hurry for example. We will also have great vegetarian and vegan dishes and a really ambitious children's menu. We are very much looking forward to introducing Elda to airport visitors", says Jón Haukur Baldvinsson, operations manager of SSP in Iceland.

Elda is owned by SSP, an international company that specializes in operating restaurants at airports and operates over 2,500 locations around the world.

"We are very happy to have SSP join us at Keflavík Airport. Elda is a great addition to our restaurant menu. A large number of passengers have been calling for higher quality fare, and Elda answers that call well. The menu is very appetizing, so it's worth arriving early for the flight and giving yourself plenty of time," says Gunnhildur Erla Vilbergsdóttir, department head of retail and catering at Isavia.

The place has already opened and is located directly opposite the exit from the Duty Free store.

Isavia congratulates Elda and SSP on the opening and looks forward to the cooperation at Keflavík Airport.
