Ágúst Einþórsson, also known as Gústi bakari, the baker and concept designer for Bakað's products, expresses delight in the positive reception since the arrival hall's opening earlier this year. "We're pleased to offer departing passengers freshly baked goods and other delights as they leave the country,"
Haf Studio was in charge of developing the interiors of both cafes, but the studio has in recent years led the design of many restaurants and food halls in Iceland.
"We are seeing growing passenger numbers and acknowledge how crucial it is to cater to varied preferences within the airport and offer good food selection both in the departures and arrivals halls. Bakað is especially suited to passengers in a hurry and we are glad to open a second location in the main building. We are always looking to improve our services and increase positive passenger experience at the airport.“ says Gunnhildur Erla Vilbergsdóttir, department head of retail and catering at Isavia.
