East wing progressing nicely
Construction in the terminal's new east wing is progressing well, and come spring a new dining area will in the departure hall will open on the second floor. The first part of the new wing to be put into use was a new baggage sorting system and a new baggage reception opened in the middle of last year.
As mentioned before, a new restaurant area will open in the spring and this autumn the entire second floor of the wing will be open with four new gangways and a new bus gate. The passenger area will also be greatly expanded and new toilets will be put into use at the same time.
The eastern wing includes a nearly 30% expansion of the terminal and is a key element in the future development of the airport.
