First passengers pass through the new East Wing

Some of the country's largest media outlets visited the new East Wing on Wednesday, February 26, when the first passengers at Keflavík Airport passed through the new section. The passengers went through the wing via two new bus gates. The new East Wing expands the terminal by 30%.
The expansion improves facilities for baggage handling in a new arrivals hall, adds four new boarding bridges and two bus gates, as well as a larger dining area and a bigger duty-free store.
The East Wing will be officially opened later this month, when all boarding bridges have been put into use. Below is a sample of the news coverage, all in Icelandic.
